The Global Centre for AI in Marketing (GCAM) is a registered business name of Australian Centre for AI in Marketing Pty Ltd (ABN 97 684 716 783).

In this policy, "GCAM", "ACAM", "we", "us" and "our" refer to Australian Centre for AI in Marketing Pty Ltd.

This policy explains how we collect, hold, use, disclose and protect personal information when people visit the Global Centre for AI in Marketing website, request resources, register their interest, subscribe to updates, contact us, attend our activities or participate in Global Centre for AI in Marketing research.

We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles and other privacy laws that apply to our activities.

The Global Centre for AI in Marketing Benchmark is one part of Global Centre for AI in Marketing's broader research, intelligence and capability activities.

If you choose to participate in Global Centre for AI in Marketing research, surveys or benchmarking, we may collect your responses together with relevant professional and organisational information.

We use this information to conduct research, analyse patterns, compare maturity and capability across participating organisations or markets, and produce reports, insights and educational materials.

Global Centre for AI in Marketing generally reports research findings in aggregated or appropriately de-identified form. We will not publicly identify an individual or attribute a response or quotation to a person or organisation without permission.

Approved research, technology or market partners may assist Global Centre for AI in Marketing in administering, analysing or reporting research. Where those parties receive personal information, they may only use it for the agreed purpose and must handle it appropriately.

5. Direct marketing and communications

We may send you Global Centre for AI in Marketing research, insights, event information and other updates where:

  • you have asked to receive them;

Our website is hosted through Webflow, a United States-based provider. Global Centre for AI in Marketing also uses Zoho for forms and customer relationship management. Depending on the services, account configuration, support arrangements and subprocessors involved, personal information may be stored or accessed in Australia, the United States, India and other locations in which approved service providers operate.

Global Centre for AI in Marketing may also work with research or market partners located outside Australia, including in the United States.

Where we disclose personal information to an overseas recipient, we take reasonable steps appropriate to the circumstances to protect that information and require service providers and partners to handle it securely and only for authorised purposes.

You may contact us if you would like further information about the countries in which your personal information is likely to be stored or processed.

8. Cookies and website information

The Global Centre for AI in Marketing website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate website functionality, process forms, maintain security and understand website activity.

These technologies may collect information including:

  • referring website or page;

Our website is hosted through Webflow and may use Webflow functionality and analytics. We may also use other approved analytics or security services where appropriate.

If we introduce additional non-essential analytics, advertising or tracking technologies, we will update our privacy notices and provide appropriate controls where required.

9. How we hold and protect personal information

Personal information may be held in Global Centre for AI in Marketing and ACAM's website, customer relationship management, email, survey and cloud-storage systems.

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

Access to personal information is restricted to employees, contractors and authorised service providers who require it for legitimate Global Centre for AI in Marketing or ACAM activities.

We will respond within a reasonable period. In some circumstances, the law may permit us to refuse access or correction. If this occurs, we will explain the reason where legally permitted and advise you of the available complaint options.

  • withdraw consent where our handling of your information relies on consent; or
  • request deletion of information that we are not legally or operationally required to retain.

Additional privacy rights may apply depending on the country or jurisdiction in which you are located.

12. Privacy complaints

If you believe we have not handled your personal information appropriately, please email hello@gcam.ai with "Privacy Complaint" in the subject line and provide details of your concern.

We will acknowledge and investigate your complaint and aim to provide a response within 30 days. We may contact you if we require further information.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner through www.oaic.gov.au.

The Global Centre for AI in Marketing website may contain links to external websites or resources operated by other organisations. Global Centre for AI in Marketing is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of external websites. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any external website you visit.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our activities, technology providers or legal obligations.

The current version will be published on the Global Centre for AI in Marketing website with the date of the latest update.
